Senior Test Analyst (manual & Automation) - Derby
We are looking for an experienced Test Analyst to join a talented and innovative IT team with a successful e-commerce business based in Derby. The IT team members are creative and passionate and provide invaluable support to ensure our commercial projects are delivered to the highest standard. As they look to grow and mature their test capabilities, they are looking for enthusiastic proactive test analysts with an interest in shaping this area of the IT team to be a best of breed example.
This is role is an exciting opportunity for someone to demonstrate their skills in assisting with the further development, maintenance, and implementation of the systems in a fast paced, growing organisation. This role plays a vital role in the success of the next generation of the platform.
The business is moving to Automation, you will therefore be part of moving the testing from manual to automation, selecting tools and being the Test Lead in future for the team.
Responsibilities -
* Continuing new development of applications within the eco system
* Building on the integration platform to leverage the power of third-party integrations
* Transferring functionality from a Legacy system to new platforms
* Actively participating in SCRUM process
* Identifying innovation and solutions for business requirements
* Building close working relationships with teams outside of IT
* Working closely with IT leadership to implement the business vision and multi-year plan
Essential skills
* At least 3 years' experience test public facing web applications with some exposure to windows forms applications
* ISTQB or ISEB certifications
* Writing and maintaining test scripts for various product features including regression packs
* At least 2 years commercial experience working with web applications
* Manual test execution using Azure DevOps / Team Foundation Server
* Experience of working with third party integrations
* Experience with the following technology and tools
o RESTFul Api testing experience using tooling such as Postman
o SQL data verification
o Winforms applications
o Web applications
* Experience of working in Agile environments
