Senior MI Analyst / MI Manager - Remote / London (Lloyds Syndicate or Insurance experience required)

*Remote/Home based with 1 day a week in central London offices*

Working for a successful business supporting underwriters and brokers with fair, efficient and transparent syndicate management. They provide services to both established insurance entities and new business start-ups. They manage live syndicates in the Lloyds of London markets, providing data mining services and staying up-to-date with market changes.

Purpose of role:

  • Working in the data solution and delivery team to provide an accurate, responsive, cost-effective, and value-adding operational reporting service to the business functions and management.
  • Satisfying Lloyds regulatory reporting requirements, business MI, ad-hoc and regular business intelligence needs.

What you'll be doing:

  • Manage and improve the day to day delivery and production of all scheduled Regulatory reporting, MI reports and dashboards for internal and client use; meeting agreed timescales and agreed quality standards.
  • Proactive involvement with the business functions to understand, discuss and address their needs, expectations, and concerns.
  • Develop and manage effective relationships with key client contacts, external partners, stakeholders, suppliers, and internal business partners to manage the delivery of MI.
  • Manage any ad hoc MI report requirements including gathering and agreeing detailed requirements, ensuring all change / commercial processes are followed and developing and building reports to client satisfaction.
  • Ensure all control documentation is kept up to date.
  • Perform regular quality checks against key business data sources to ensure the integrity of these for provision of management information.
  • Analyse performance trends and investigate any anomalies, advising management accordingly Participate in the ongoing development of business systems and procedures to ensure accurate and meaningful management information is available to support the business objectives
  • Contribute to the achievement of Lloyds minimum standards, Regulatory returns, service level agreements, key performance indicators and business objectives through the provision of management information.
  • Identify and develop opportunities for improving content and/or delivery of the management and operational reporting service.

What we're looking for:

  • Experience of a Lloyds managing agency or syndicate reporting requirements (or commercial insurance)
  • Knowledge of the Lloyds regulatory reporting requirements and timetable (or commercial insurance)
  • Business Objects skills, preferably including Dashboard skills
  • Advanced Excel skills, including VBA
  • Persuasive and credible with internal and external key decision makers.
  • Knowledge of relevant industry regulations and their implications.
  • Sound knowledge and experience of financial systems.
  • Analysis of processes in terms of service provision and cost effectiveness.
  • Experience of managing service standards and customer-focused KPI's.
