Our client is an international reinsurance company. They are actively expanding their business in Hong Kong market and now looking for a Regional Business Analyst / Account Manager to provide professional services for their HK insurance clients.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Responsible for end to end implementation of client projects
  • Analyse, validate, document and manage business and solution requirements from key clients
  • Generate project reports on weekly/monthly basis for key client accounts and management
  • Provide training of the reinsurance system to insurance clients, general reinsurance administration, and the process flow of using the system for reinsurance administration within a clients' process environment
  • Provide support of the system to determine training opportunities, upgrade opportunities and/or defects.
  • Conduct test plans for new release/installations in conjunction with QA Manager.
  • Conduct complex tasks and activities within the software and/or externally to obtain information such as life reinsurance policy data, cession data, managing the implementation of insurance products and/or business process work-flows into the Life Reinsurance system. May work with other departments, conduct interviews, lead workshops, or conduct primary or secondary research to gather client data if information is not readily available.
  • Develop and analyse reports, proposals for action or implementation plans as necessary and presents to management
  • Work within system provider to coordinate interdepartmental activities in order to ensure that the system meets customer expectations. Proactively identify and resolves problems to ensure that customers receive prompt service
  • Work internally and externally across multiple functional areas including Actuarial, Finance, Underwriting, Claims, IT, Product Management and Project Management

Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree or above, finance preferred
  • 5 years of experience or above in Life and Health reinsurance, policy administration
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills: Capable to clearly link results to operational performance drivers; able to generate alternatives and drive positive change.
  • Attentive to details
  • Strong business sense with excellent business communication skills in fluent English and Cantonese
  • Able to work independently and work across functional areas during projects.
  • Strong stakeholder identification & management skills
  • Good proficiency with Excel, working knowledge of SQL, database software, and Access.
  • Strong experience in writing and managing business specifications, technical specifications, project plans, and other project documentation.

Other requirements:

  • Willing to travel up to 40%.
  • Willing to deploy to the field for up to two weeks at a time.
  • Able and drive to deliver on time, while working in a semi-autonomous environment.
  • Able to create and communicate an accurate schedule.
  • Willing to learn to work with the tools and solutions selected by the team.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills internally and externally
