The position of claims handler is broad: managing various aspects of the claims process, including evaluation, assessment, negotiation, and resolution, while also maintaining communication with stakeholders and coordinating with experts and legal professionals for effective claim handling.

Your responsibilities

• You'll work collaboratively with your colleagues to manage the comprehensive processing of claims.
• Your role involves evaluating claim declarations, assessing coverage, adhering to agreements, and determining liability.
• You'll take proactive steps to assess damages for both clients and opposing parties, handling complaints and engaging in negotiation activities accordingly.
• Additionally, you'll be responsible for disbursing compensation to clients and/or opposing parties, overseeing the entire claims process from initiation to final resolution.
• You'll maintain clear and consistent communication with insured parties and intermediaries, ensuring they are updated on claim progress. Furthermore, you'll coordinate with various stakeholders.

Your Profile

• You are a legal professional with a master's degree in law or a bachelor's degree in insurance OR you have experience in claims management (e.g., Auto Liability, Home Liability, Business Liability).
• You are a Dutch speaker with a good active knowledge of French.
• You excel in client communication, adeptly understanding their needs and inquiries, and swiftly providing well-informed assistance based on analysed information.
• You enjoy taking on responsibilities.
• As a team player, you are enthusiastic about continuing to improve the organization and service through intense collaboration and continuous mutual knowledge sharing.
