I am currently working with a Lloyds of London insurance group looking for an individual skilled at enhancing data used for pricing, portfolio monitoring, modelling and other performance related tasks. This insurer provides a range of insurance services across business lines like Political Violence, Marine & Cargo, Aerospace and more!
The role
This business This role will provide opportunities for you to sharpen and challenge your data analytics skills within the world of insurance pricing. Together with the pricing experts and actuaries along with the Data team, you will work on creating and delivering solutions utilising a variety of data programming and monitoring / reporting tools (Insurance specific and generic).
- Assist the pricing managers with data reconciliations and quality checks to ensure the business is signing off with the correct analyses
- Ensure successful technical rate refresh through collaborating with the price modelling data specification and delivery
- Improve existing suite of technical and MI performance reports, including; querying carious data sources; cleansing, transforming and merging data ; Utilise PowerBI to lead production of summary tables and charts
- Support decision making through producing automated and ad-hoc extracts and reports from the data warehouse
Requirements
- Experience using Power BI to create controlled summary tables and charts
- Knowledge of Python to implement, maintain and improve on existing scripts
- SQL data tables / data warehouse experience
- Proven experience in the insurance world
- Ability to interact with both business facing and the technical teams
Desirable
- Finance or Pricing experience highly beneficial
- Familiarity with industry recognised pricing tools such as Radar is a bonus
