Our client is seeking a dynamic Cyber Security Engineer to bolster their Cyber Security IT team. As a Security Engineer, you'll play a pivotal role in collaborating with the external SOC vendor and Incident Response Team (CSIRT) to fortify our client's cyber defences. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to shaping robust security protocols take on exciting new challenges.
Your responsibilities
- Collaborate with our external SOC partner to reinforce our security operations team
- Coordinate and manage the external SOC & CSIRT partner activities
- Monitor the security landscape in tandem with the external SOC partner
- Coordinate and participate in internal security incident response initiatives
- Contribute to the design and implementation of tailored security use cases
- Continuously enhance security detection & response processes
- Develop and refine security use cases specific to our client's needs
- Provide active coaching to our client's employees on implementing Detection & Response requirements (SOC integration)
Your profile:
- Experience in cyber security, preferably as a Security Analyst or Detection & Response Engineer
- Enthusiasm for cyber defence and proficiency in cloud security
- Familiarity with security incident analysis and response, including process design
- Aptitude for designing and improving detection & response activities
- Ideally, hands-on experience with Threat Intelligence, Threat Hunting, and threat modeling
- Experience working with and managing external partners
- Strong communication skills in German (business fluency) and English
